Catalina Sunshine, a 2002 Grand Alaskan Pilothouse, is a motoryacht for open-water cruising that has been well-maintained and is ready for its next adventure. With a three-stateroom, three-head layout, this yacht accommodates six guests for extended passages. Catalina Sunshine is listed with Outer Reef Yachts for $1.0295 million.
Interestingly, the yacht’s current owner is a retired Navy Captain, who in addition to holding a degree from MIT and is an architect, knows how to build boats, ensuring this boat has been well-maintained.
Powered by twin 800 hp Caterpillar 3406 diesels, Catalina Sunshine has a reported top speed of 20 knots. Cruising speed is 10 knots and fuel capacity is 1,400 gallons. The hardest decision may be picking a waypoint.

The forepeak VIP stateroom features a queen-sized berth, while the third guest stateroom has twin over/under berths. Crew accommodations are located aft with separate access.
Outer Reef Yachts notes, “Catalina Sunshine was built as the finest-equipped and most well-finished 64’ Grand Alaskan Pilothouse. With her major systems upgraded to like-new condition, Catalina Sunshine is ready for any journey.”
