An infused hull and deck, and a watertight collision bulkhead forward, make for one stout yacht.

Riviera’s 5600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition fills the gap between the Australian builder’s 4600 Sport Yacht and 6000 Sport Yacht, and serves as a robust cruising platform that maximizes every inch of available real estate to enhance life aboard.
The 5600 SY embodies the series’ DNA with a sheltered aft deck that provides outdoor living while remaining protected from the elements. The space has an L-shaped lounge set around a high-gloss wood folding table to starboard, along with a transom settee. According to the builder, there is dining for eight guests, with additional loose chairs or ottomans. A flip-up bulkhead window creates a direct connection between the galley aft and this al fresco setup. A short or long hardtop can cover the aft deck. For those who enjoy cooking when cruising, the area has a grill, ice maker, refrigerator and sink to port. An electric blind integrated into the hardtop drops to shade the aft deck when desired, and a retractable sunroof adds light and breezes.
A sliding door from the cockpit offers direct access to the salon and U-shaped galley. The galley arrangement includes a three-burner induction cooktop, a convection/microwave oven, a dishwasher, cabinets above and below the solid-surface countertops, a full-height refrigerator as well as two pullout fridge/freezer drawers. The cabinets and pullout drawers have the same rich, high-gloss finish as the rest of the yacht’s bulkheads, doors and the like. There is also a bar/serving station with a wine chiller and a drink cabinet. Two fixed barstools at the interior countertop create a cozy breakfast nook.
Riviera’s Platinum Edition yachts have more luxurious amenities, aesthetics and color choices.

The 5600 SY Platinum Edition’s main-deck interior has an L-shaped lounge to port, and is within earshot of the galley, the helm with dual hand-stitched leather seats to starboard, and a second L-shaped lounge forward to port. The salon is made bright with nearly 360 degrees of glass as well as a retractable sunroof over the forward half of the salon. Add the sliding windows and you get an open-boat vibe, only supersized.
The 5600 SY Platinum Edition has three staterooms, including a full-beam, en suite owners’ hamlet with a walkaround queen berth and a settee to starboard for coffee time with a book. The settee can be swapped out for drawers or a vanity. Hullside windows flank the space, adding light and views. Two ports open, allowing fresh air into the room.
The forepeak VIP has a queen berth and en suite head. The guest stateroom is to port with twin berths that convert to a double for couples.
Power is a pair of 725 hp Volvo Penta D11 IPS950s. Performance data is currently unavailable.
Riviera’s 5600 SY Platinum Edition should be in the States around the time you read this.
Easy AccessClever design and engineering create a full-height engine room that’s accessible via teak steps that lead from the swim platform to the cockpit. These steps lift on struts, providing entry to the engine room.
Going AshoreThis cruiser’s tender garage accommodates up to a 10-foot-8-inch RIB with the outboard mounted. The builder says an electric winch, as well as a removable rail system, make for stress-free launching and retrieval.
All-SeeingAn onboard camera system provides real-time monitoring of key areas on the 5600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, including the swim platform, engine room, bow anchor and cockpit.
