The Maserati Tridente is an all-electric, runabout-style tender. Hodgdon Yachts builds it in carbon fiber, with propulsion by Vita Power. The Tridente’s electric motor delivers up to 600 hp, which translates to 25-knot cruising speeds and a 40-knot top speed. This kind of performance with electric propulsion is made possible by the boat’s 252-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery, which can be recharged via DC power in an hour.
Whom It’s For: Anyone seeking an all-electric ride for a near-silent cruising experience.
Picture This: It’s a lovely fall day on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, and the gang wants to go exploring. Your main ride is anchored off the Bitter End Yacht Club, so you load up your Maserati Tridente and quietly cruise over to The Baths, returning to the Bitter End in time for evening cocktails.
