Turquoise Yachts have unveiled initial renderings of the 42.3m (138’7″) inbuild sailing yacht WILDCAT. This unique project has been born from the incomplete hull of the 42 E-volution GTS, purchased from Perini Navi after the closure of the shipyard in 2021.

The contemporary sailing yacht is being built to deliver great sailing performance as well as stability and guest comfort. The project is now a collaboration between the original naval architects – Reichel/Pugh Yacht Design, Southern Spars New Zealand and interior designers GCA Architects. The team are busy creating a sloop-rigging with a Panamax carbon mast of 62.5m and a carbon boom with an in-boom furling system for the main sail. The sails will be handled by PLC based technology using three Harken custom captive reel winches and three Bamar furlers.
