She is 91.8m hybrid-electric superyacht who was launched in April 2024 and is the shipyard’s first full Hybrid Electric Class yacht. “Working with the experienced owner, designers and owner’s team has been a professional pleasure”, says Albert Abma, Feadship project manager. “Gathering the operational experience of the owner’s team with the yard’s building experience has resulted in this modern-classic, state-of-art and full custom new Feadship”.

The yacht’s masculine exterior profile is characterised by her dark blue hull and white superstructure, which maintains a sense of elegance. The signature deep v-cut bow is balanced by the extended explorer style aft deck which is home to a 165sqm beach club with large pool and fold out terraces. The sundeck serves as an observation vantage point with a forward-facing sofa and sun loungers, while the aft deck is used for storing two rescue tenders.

Despite her considerable volume, the owner was explicit that the interior should have cosy family spaces and meticulous detailing to create an understated family home on the water. Comfortable guest suites and staff cabins finished to luxury standard are on the main deck forward while the master stateroom, family salon and wellness area are situated on the upper decks.

Superyacht DRIZZLE’s propulsion plant and energy management has been developed incorporating state-of-the-art Feadship technology. She comprises two main engines and shaft-driven fixed pitch propellers, coupled with PTO/PTI electric motors of 560kW each and 1MWh of Li-ion batteries. The e-motors work as shaft generators to produce electricity to serve the hotel loads or recharge the battery bank while the generators or batteries produce the required electrical power.

She is scheduled for delivery in July 2024.
