Details of 85m superyacht PROJECT LIFE revealed by Benetti

At the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show Benetti revealed renderings and details of 85m (278’8”) superyacht PROJECT LIFE, the latest collaboration between the renowned shipyard and leading yacht designers Espen Øino International and Zuretti Design.

The megayacht is Benetti’s largest ever engineering-platform-based yacht, a building approach that ensures owners can focus on design and lifestyle while trusting that the technical aspects, systems, and performance are expertly configured. The expert team have delivered a next-generation yacht with cutting edge design and technology that redefines life on board and offers an immersive experience.

“With PROJECT LIFE, our goal was to provide varied experiences on each deck, emphasizing social interaction through convivial layouts and versatile gathering areas, all framed by the ocean,” said Sebastiano Vida, head of Product Benetti. “To bring our vision to life, we broadened our collaborations with some of the world’s top designers and partnered with industry leaders like Burgess, and we are extremely proud of the result we have accomplished.”

On first glance, luxury yacht PROJECT LIFE has a sleek, elegant profile which includes iconic Benetti features, crowned by a tall, sharp bow for excellent seakeeping. Energy efficiency is aided by expansive windows which bring in an abundance of natural light, maintains optimal visibility and shading the interior from direct sun.

The distinctive exterior deck spaces include:

• Beach terrace: A 270sqm terrace on the aft deck which opens on three sides – including two 14m fold-down side doors – to the indoor beach club. The swim platform offers direct access to the water while the beach club is filled with light from the glass bottomed pool on the main deck.
• Swimming pool and jacuzzi: An 18sqm, 1m deep swimming pool defines the main deck aft and is surrounded by seating and a full bar. Meanwhile a jacuzzi sits on the foredeck which also boasts 170-degree views and a helipad.
• Al fresco dining: The bridge deck uniquely combines dining and lounging with two dedicated outdoor chef stations which allow guests to interact directly with the chef.

The interior boasts a vast main salon and six guest suites:

• Main salon: The 112sqm space offers floor-to-ceiling windows which maintain a continuous dialogue with the surroundings and fill the space with light.
• Guest suites: The six guest suites boast expansive windows and frame the ocean vistas. The 98sqm owner’s suite is a haven of tranquillity with an adjacent space which guests can use as an office or to suite their interests. Continuing into a private glass-enclosed sky lounge owners benefit from a truly special retreat.

The yacht offers innovative technical solutions to reduce environmental impact by taking an integrated approach including diesel-electric propulsion, an advanced HVAC system and solar panels to run the hotel load and recharge the electric tenders.

“Increasingly clients are concerned with the holistic yacht design, not only does it need to look great and have a layout that enables a fantastic lifestyle onboard, but decisions taken need to be environmentally conscious, the crew operation must be safe, smooth and efficient as well as technical redundancy and resilience needing to be seamlessly integrated into the platform.
