Superyacht MAIA is almost ready for charter, following her launch a couple of months ago from the Radez shipyard in Croatia. She will be fully fitted and looking sensational in time for the 2025 summer yacht charter season, and we are delighted to share an exclusive look at the latest renderings which reveal the luxury finish charter guests can expect.
At 53.10m (174’21”) she has been constructed with meticulous attention to detail and styled with beautiful classic looks. Her heritage green hull – elongated at the bow and stern, soft-white and wood-panelled superstructure and teak decking are crowned by a quintessential yellow and black funnel. The elegantly curved deck levels complement the continuous rows of arched windows which hark back to a bygone yachting era. Contemporary luxuries on the sun deck include a circular jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads, a sit up bar and plush sofas which can be sheltered using soft sail shades.
The main deck aft is set up to offer wonderful al fresco dining experiences and a big surprise! The fold out transom creates a fabulous beach terrace which can be further extended with an expansive modular floating dock. Guests will love the exclusive water’s edge playground where the jet skis and other water toys can dock, there is a trampoline and a combination of seating and sunbathing arrangements. An exclusive private floating island!
Once inside, the yacht has been expertly configured for up to twelve charter guests and features plenty of light and convivial entertainment areas plus six elegantly appointed private staterooms all with bespoke ensuite bathrooms. The main deck master stateroom is exceptionally well-appointed and is a haven for primary charter guests secluded from the other accommodation on the lower deck. The main salon is configured with a bar and lounge aft and dining setting forward – with the tables and bar top being a rich green marble to coordinate perfectly with the green soft furnishings.
Superyacht MAIA marks the culmination of years of passionate dedication from owner Filip Jakir who has worked closely with the construction team throughout the project. Filip’s inspiration for MAIA comes from a lifelong love of sailing and a deep appreciation for traditional yacht design.
Filip has shared his thoughts on the project, “Having grown up around wooden ships and with my maritime academy background, I developed a profound admiration for the classic lines and craftsmanship of traditional yachts. On board MAIA, guests will experience the nostalgia and beauty of a classic yacht, but with all the luxuries of modern yachting—state-of-the-art entertainment, water toys, spacious decks, and exceptional service.”
Filip will proudly take the helm alongside his experienced and dedicated crew of ten who have been delivering exceptional service for over ten years on board his 31m luxury gulet TAJNA MORA. He commented: “We all have a philosophy of going above and beyond and we work well together – guests feel this immediately. Many of our guests step aboard as clients and leave as friends – to me, this says it all.”
MAIA’s home port of Split in Croatia makes an ideal starting point for luxury yacht charters along the Adriatic Coast and boarding at the beautiful main port is a unique experience. Itineraries can include many of Croatia’s most stunning towns and villages as well as anchorages in quiet and secluded coves. Here guests can dive into the crystal-clear water by day, dine al fresco in complete privacy in the evening and rest at night with only the sound of the sea gently lapping against the boat.
Filip is delighted to show guests his beloved Croatia, but also has extensive experience elsewhere in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
“Many guests arrive knowing very little about Croatia and it is a true joy to show them the beauty, history and even gastronomy of my home country. Simply pointing them to the night sky and seeing the look on their faces when they see millions of stars is priceless.”
CharterWorld and our partner in Croatia, Otium Yachts are delighted to be representing superyacht MAIA and are currently accepting bookings for summer 2025 onwards with charter rates from €130,000 per week + expenses.
