Greenline’s latest flagship, the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid, is an owner-operator cruiser with an eco-friendly propulsion system.

According to a news release from the Slovenian yacht builder, the 58 Fly Hybrid has a next-generation hybrid drive capable of 40 percent lower emissions than a standard diesel engine.

The yacht offers three propulsion options: one for diesels and two for hybrid drives. With the diesel setup, the 58 Fly Hybrid can have the following twin diesels: 730 hp MAN i6, 850 hp MAN i6, 1,000 hp MAN V-8, 1,000 hp Caterpillar or 1,000 hp Volvo Penta D13.

The MAN i6 engine options can be upgraded to a hybrid drive with the 6G H-Drive upgrade. A 6G/HV H-Drive System is also available.

“The H-Drive 6G is Greenline’s most efficient drive yet, with better performance, an improved user interface and groundbreaking low-voltage electric motor,” the release stated. “As a pioneer in the hybrid space, Greenline Yachts has been honing its technology for over 15 years, and the latest iteration allows the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid to offer an impressive range of 20 nautical miles in silent electric mode with speeds up to 6 knots.”

The 58 Fly Hybrid is designed by naval architect Marco Casali to minimize the appearance of the flybridge while maxing out its usable space. There is a fully equipped helm station as well as room for a smart bar, a six-person dining table and an open deck for loungers or seating.

The main deck aft offers a multifunction space with a square dining table centerpiece, sofas down two sides and loose chairs at the forward end. A short flight of teak-lined steps on each quarter leads down to the six-foot deep swim platform. The foredeck lounge seats three people on cushions ahead of the superstructure’s windows.

The 58 Fly Hybrid’s galley is aft and can be fully opened to the deck outside thanks to its glass door and swing-up window. It’s equipped with fridges, a freezer, an induction cooktop and a dishwasher. The space under the galley sole can be used in a number of ways, from extra food stowage and a built-in washing machine to a technical space.

This eco-cruiser’s salon offers plenty of social space with sofas to starboard and a dinette to port. A designer ceiling light creates a warm homelike glow, reflecting off the natural wood table. Fabrics from recycled fibers, sustainable woods and foam made from recycled PET, help reduce the manufacturing footprint of this yacht.

Three staterooms, including an owners’ suite, can be reached down a broad staircase to a lower-deck lobby. The owners’ stateroom is amidships and fills the full beam, and includes a king-size berth, sofa, vanity table and stowage including a walk-in closet. The sn suite and stateroom are fitted with porcelain ware to contrast with the warm, woody finish and curves of the joinery.

A VIP with a double berth is located at the bow, also with an en suite head. The third stateroom between the two to starboard is flexible and can be configured as a twin for children or a double for friends. An en suite head is included for either.

“Our unique approach to responsible yachting gives owners the option of speed when it matters and optimum efficiency over shorter distances,” said Greenline owner and managing director Vladimir Zinchenko, in the release. “The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid exemplifies the concept, but it’s also found across all our yachts. Responsible Yachting is a philosophy which has led us to make significant reductions in waste and energy usage at the yard, eliminating paper-based marketing material and recycling as much as we can.”
